Casablanca x New Balance / Colombia Release
These photo composites I created for New Balance Colombia. For the first time in the country's history New Balance and the respected high fashion brand from Paris Casablanca were going to release two models in collaboration. The models were the 237 and the 327. Both pairs were to be distributed nation wide.
Colombia has 4 key cities: Bogotá, Medellín, Cali and Barranquilla. All of those are slightly different sub markets and culturally the people from each city they don’t like to be compared with the people from another city since they believe to be unique in their own Colombian way. And they are in fact correct. So, instead of having just one image for each shoe model to represent Colombia I developed one for each city so the people can see the communication and feel this important shoe release is personalized.
The pictures of the shoes were provided by the brand and the background pictures are all stock photos from different sources, including Adobe Stock® as the main one and a couple from ShutterStock. All these photo composites were created with Adobe Photoshop® being this my photo composite and retouching software of choice.
Besides being used as communication pieces for the release, New Balance included prints of the photos in the shoe boxes so each person from each city would have a souvenir they can frame and feel proud of having a super cool pair of sneakers and a sample of my work. That's pretty cool!
